Agreement Overview

By renting a vehicle from Edge Auto Rentals (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Renter” or “You”) agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Violations of this agreement may result in additional fees, vehicle repossession, termination of rental, or legal action.

Eligibility Requirements

You must meet the minimum age requirement specified by Edge Auto Rentals, possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain active auto insurance as required by applicable state law. Additional requirements may apply for premium or specialty vehicles.

Payment, Deposits & Fees

A security deposit may be required at the time of rental. By signing this agreement, you authorize Edge Auto Rentals to charge your payment method for rental fees, deposits, tolls, traffic violations, cleaning fees, damages, additional mileage, late returns, fuel replacement, administrative fees, and any unpaid balances. You are responsible for any loss of use or diminished value resulting from damage.

Insurance & Liability

You are responsible for maintaining valid insurance coverage during the rental period. If you decline any optional protection offered by Edge Auto Rentals, you assume full financial responsibility for any damage, theft, or loss not covered by your personal insurance policy. You remain responsible for applicable deductibles and uncovered losses.

Prohibited Uses

Vehicles may not be used for illegal activities, racing, towing (unless authorized), off-roading, transporting illegal goods, unauthorized rideshare use, reckless driving, or operation under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.

Mileage, Fuel & Charging

Mileage limits may apply. Additional mileage will incur fees. Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel or battery charge level as at pickup. Premium fuel may be required for certain vehicles. Failure to comply may result in refueling or recharging fees.

GPS & Vehicle Monitoring

Vehicles may be equipped with GPS tracking and telematics systems for safety, recovery, and contract compliance purposes. Tampering with tracking or immobilization devices is prohibited and may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement.

Accidents & Damage

In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, you must notify Edge Auto Rentals immediately and file a police report when required by law. You are responsible for all damages not covered by insurance, including tire, wheel, windshield, interior, key replacement, and administrative fees.

Late Returns & Extensions

Vehicles must be returned at the agreed-upon time. Late returns may incur additional charges. Unauthorized extensions may result in recovery action and additional fees.

Vehicle Condition

A pre-rental and post-rental inspection will document vehicle condition. You agree to return the vehicle in the same condition, excluding normal wear and tear.

Failure to Return

Failure to return the vehicle as agreed may be considered unlawful retention or vehicle theft under applicable law.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which the rental occurs. Any disputes shall be handled in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.

Information We Collect

We may collect name, email address, phone number, driver’s license information, insurance details, payment information, and information submitted through website forms, chat widgets, phone calls, or SMS communications.

How We Use Information

Information may be used to:

• Process rentals and payments

• Respond to inquiries and provide customer support

• Send service-related communications

• Send SMS messages only to users who have explicitly opted in

• Improve our services and website functionality

SMS / Text Messaging Policy (A2P Compliant)

Edge Auto Rentals only sends SMS messages to individuals who have explicitly opted in.

Information is accessible only to authorized employees or contractors who require access to perform their duties. Limited information may be shared with trusted service providers (such as CRM systems, payment processors, and communications platforms) solely to support business operations.

We do not share mobile contact information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may only be disclosed if required by law or in the event of a business transfer.

Data Retention & Security

Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for its intended purpose. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Edge Auto Rentals does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted upon request.
